About Us

Our names are Tristen & Beth Even. We started Hugs from Above in 2023, in memory of our daughter, McKinsey. We lost McKinsey on May 29th, 2023 at 18 weeks gestation. The loss of our daughter impacted us and our young son so greatly, and we found that there were little resources in South Dakota for bereaved parents like ourselves. We wanted to change that, and Hugs from Above was created. 

We are born and raised in South Dakota, and providing care packages to parents in the state that has given us so much is very important to us. We have also made so many connections with other loss parents along our journey, and that is truly invaluable.
